The product of two positive number is 243/25. IF one of them is three times the other. Find the other?

Solution: let first number is y
                2nd number is 3y
                according to the condition of question

we have

           y x 3y = 243/25
         

we know that 

3y²= 243/25

y²= 243/(25x3)

y²= (81x3)/(25x3)               As 243=81x3

simplify by cancel 3 we get

^y2=  81/25

Now taking square root on both sides we get

So y will be :

y=(81/25)^1/2

y=9/5 and y=-9/5
